FutureMaster
S2E7: We've been to the year 3000

In next week’s episode we reverse the dial in our time machine and head forwards instead of backwards, venturing into the unknown for our first ever game of ‘FutureMaster’.
Keon heads to the year 3000 in a bid to prevent the ‘Great Data Theft’ and to check out the local cyber bar.
We asked GameMaster for a realistic imagining of the future based on best scientific estimates.
Spoiler alert: what we got was more like this.
AI in the newsIll-informed AI research is producing useless and potentially dangerous studies, experts have warned.
A study in India which has apparently been quoted 900 times purported to show AI could determine whether patients had covid based on X-rays.
But it turns out it was bollocks. “These examples might be amusing but in biomedicine misclassification could be a matter of life or death,” one expert says. Well, quite.

I want an even bigger dog
Making art with AI to illustrate our PastMaster adventures is highly amusing.
We have so far used Midjourney to make our pictures, but now DALL-E has upped its game, enabling users to get what they want much more easily.
Inspired by memories of Digby the Biggest Dog in the World I decided to see how big a dog I could create.
